1994 FXDL Drag Racing Performance
At the dragstrip, this Dyna Low Rider performs quite well. The bike has competed in the
AMA Pro-Star and AHDRA ET and Street Eliminator 'D' classes. The bike's quickest run is
11.933 seconds at 113.67 MPH for the 1/4 mile. This bike set the AHDRA 'D' Street
Eliminator 1/4 mile national record of 113.67 MPH on March 5, 1999 at the Bike Week
Nationals held at Orlando Speedworld in Bithlo, Florida. It missed the National
E.T. record by a mere .005 seconds. Not a bad time for a streetable 80 CID Harley-Davidson
with over 40,000 miles on the odometer and a set of stock HD Evolution heads.
The best 1/8 mile time is 7.693 seconds at 94.93 MPH with a slow 1.971 second 60 foot
time. This time was turned in April 1998 at Lakeland (FL) Dragstrip on the way to a first
place finish in the Stock Big Block class at Roscoe's Olde Tyme Harley Drags.
As this rider's experience level grows, the bike should be quite capable of mid 11
second second 1/4 mile times. If any racers out there have riding tricks, send them to me.
