CRSE

Installation Instructions

  • Carefully remove CRSE from packing material.

  • Locate all secondary hardware located in the clear plastic pack attached to each CRSE unit.

  • Obtain several containers of liquid aged hops (LAH) to ensure a smooth installation process. Several other companies located in Milwaukee are known to provide good, quality liquid aged hops. This material generally works best when used at a reduced temperature.

  • Liberally apply the LAH to the oral opening located on the protrusion just above the control arm for the FLHR.

  • Attempt to raise the rear wheel of the FLHR, leaving it suspend 3-5 inches above a stable work platform.
  • If resistance is encountered in raising the rear wheel, liberally apply more LAH to the oral opening. If additional control arms are encountered during installation, apply the LAH to each of the oral openings encountered to reduce the background noise level.
  • When the rear end of the FLHR is properly suspended in the air, firmly grab the large nuts located between the bags. Using the proper sized wench, slowly screw it to the right. If resistance is encountered, the liberal use of LAH is recommended.

  • After the large nuts are removed from between the bags, the remaining rod can now be cleaned prior to the final steps to completion of the task.
  • Locate the lower control rod connected to the right CRSE unit. Rotate the CRSE unit so the control rod is facing the rear. Bend control rod so the end touches the location of the right nut. Use a hammer to force the control rod into position and replace the right nut. Use of LAH may reduce the effort required to accomplish this task.
  • Repeat this step for the left CRSE unit and the left nut. Continue the application of LAH to ensure the best outcome.
  • Locate the air hole assembly on the CRSE. Inflate the rubber container surrounding the large retaining ring by the rapid application of air pressure to the small opening. Do not over inflate or the assembly will rapidly loose its firm nature when the rubber container fails.

  • The rear end can now be lowered. Check all nuts for proper tightness. Apply liberal amounts of LAH to the oral orifice above the control arms of the bike. The CRSE is now ready for final adjustment.
