The Dyno
We use a DynoJet Model 150 chassis dynamometer
capable of supporting 500 rear wheel horsepower and a bikes with 84 inch wheel
bases. The dyno is mounted on DynoJet's trailer kit allowing us to bring it to
your location.
Our computer uses the last version of the DynoJet PEP software
to record and display the results of each run.
Other tuning and diagnostic
equipment
Air Temperature and Humidity monitoring allows the DynoJet software to
accurately calculate correction factors. These correction factors allow a
standardized SAE horsepower number that can be used to compare power across
multiple tuning sessions.
Infrared Thermometer monitoring of cylinder
head, engine case and transmission temperatures ensures the engine is within
normal operating ranges. This allows us to detect overheating and helps
ensure accuracy across multiple tuning sessions.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) Gas
Analyzer to monitoring the exhaust emissions. This can validate and verify
the Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) of the engine and improve power. This is a good piece
of equipment for tuning carburetor engines and essential for tuning fuel
injected motorcycles. This also helps troubleshoot poor gas mileage from an
engine.
